Aaron Douglas was born in and currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where he films and stars in the critically acclaimed sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica as Chief Galen Tyrol.

In high school, Aaron was in a rock band, and he

has participated in drama since elementary school. After graduation, he spent many years finding out what he did not want to do with his life: salesman, sports nutrition rep., marketing, floor layer, etc. Eventually, he found himself at the William Davis Center for Actors Study in Vancouver, where he met Garry Davey, the school's artistic director, who encouraged Aaron to pursue the art of acting.

Aaron attended the William Davis Center full-time program for one year, after which he signed with an agent to begin his acting career in earnest. During his time at the center, Aaron worked at Earl's restaurant on Robson as, you guessed it, a waiter.  To this day, he remains grateful to his general manager, Dario Gianna, for critical support in the beginning years. Aaron has now put the serving days behind him; he patronizes the restaurant as a customer.

Currently, Aaron is portraying Chief Galen Tyrol in The Sci-Fi Channel's hit series, Battlestar Galactica. He has appeared in such feature films as Man About Town, White Noise, Catwoman, I, Robot, The Chronicles of Riddick, Walking Tall, Saved!, Paycheck, X-Men 2, and Final Destination 2. On television, Aaron has appeared on such shows as The Dead Zone, Andromeda, The L Word, The Chris Isaak Show, Jeremiah, Black Sash, The Outer Limits, Stargate SG-1, Smallville, and Dark Angel, as well as The Sci-Fi Channel's miniseries, Steven Spielberg Presents Taken.

Growing up, Aaron played hockey and continues to love the sport to this day.  He has fond memories of "standing on the blue ice" with frozen rubber disks flying at him at high velocities. Unlike fists or guns, Aaron has no fear of hockey pucks and is violently protective of position on the ice.  He is known to have shattered the ankles of players who venture onto his "most holy" territority.

Aaron would like to thank Russ Mortensen and Lena Lees at Pacific Artists in Vancouver and William Ward, Jr., Mickey Barold, and David Rudy at Roar Management in Los Angeles.
